Lilacs

It is almost lilac time here in Istanbul. Before that, I completed my painting with a "Lilac" theme.
I work with acrylic paints, unfortunately their performance never satisfies me like oil paints however I liked these lilacs :))

Rengin, your painting is just beautiful. I hope to smell the fragrance of Lilacs soon. If the weather would just warm up some more.

Your painting is just so lovely. I especially love lilacs and have very nice memories from my childhood. The smell is just divine and the colors beautiful.

You are a very talented lady to be able to do both, wonderful paintings and beautiful stitching.

Thanks so much for your nice words about my painting.
My mother likes lilacs so much. She always tells me that lilac smell reminds her mother who had been passed away when my mother was a teenager. Unfortunately I couldn't get a chance to see my grandma!!!
I made this painting for my mother. She doesn't know it yet, it is a surprice:))

Beautiful Lilacs Rengin, one of my favourite flowers I have a lilac tree in my garden but its only the single flower not the double which are just so impressive.

I see that you have done yours in Acrylics, I have got a lilac painting to do that is sketched out but not painted yet which I will do in watercolours

I love lilacs. My childhood home has long hedge of lilac bushes lining our driveway. Beautiful painting.

Oh what an artist you are Rengin. Your lilacs are beautiful. They are my favourite flower and I have a small tree that has double flowers. The perfume is so sweet. I can almost smell the licac in your painting. Your mother will be overjoyed.

Maureen, thanks for your lovely words... I guess, my mother will be overjoyed for her present. She doesn't know it yet. I'll wrap it and I'll buy a bouquet of lilacs to visit her. Of course she should pay more attention to lilac bouquet before opening her surprise!!!:))
